SVC - Vincent-träff på Sjögestad Motell 2022

Ett av de utflyktsmål man kunde välja mellan var Flygvapenmuseum i Linköping. Några av oss åkte dit och eftersom det fanns en restaurang inne på museumet blev det för det flesta även platsen för lunch. Tyvärr var hallen med de äldre propellerplanen stängd för reparation/ombyggnad, så det var ara halva samlingarna som visades.

One of the excursion destinations you could choose from was the Air Force Museum in Linköping. Some of us went there and since there was a restaurant inside the museum, for most people it was also the place for lunch. Unfortunately, the hall with the older propeller planes was closed for repair/rebuilding, so it was only half the collections that were on display.

Att det var många SAAB-flygplan utställd var kanske inte så konstigt, fabriken ligger ju i andra ändan av stan, så de får väl räknas som lokalproducerade. Klubbens anglofiler kunde dock glädja sig med en Hawker Hunter (ovan). Där fanns även De Havilands tvestjäärtar Venom och Vampire.

The fact that there were many SAAB aircraft on display was perhaps not so strange, the factory is located at the other end of town, so they must be counted as locally produced. However, the club's Anglophiles were able to rejoice with a Hawker Hunter (above). There were also De Haviland's twintails Venom and Vampire.
